How do I know if I have a Urinary Tract Infection?

A UTI, or urinary tract infection, is an infection anywhere in the urinary tract.  UTI’s are caused by bacteria, and they have many different causes.

The typical symptoms of a urinary tract infection are:

  • A burning feeling when you urinate
  • A frequent or intense urge to urinate, even though little comes out when you do.
  • Pain or pressure in your back or lower abdomen
  • Cloudy, dark, bloody or strange smelling urine.
  • Feeling tired or shaky
